On behalf of the West Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering membership in our Chapter. The West Virginia Chapter of the IAAI consists of some of the finest fire investigation professionals in the state and the nation. Our members are united by a commitment to the suppression of the crime of arson.

Our diverse membership includes local, state and federal law enforcement officers, professional and volunteer firefighters, fire department investigators, insurance personnel, private origin and cause investigators, engineers and attorneys. Our Chapter was established in 1984 and continues to grow. Our Chapter members are also recognized for their work and dedication on the international level.

As a Chapter, we offer you unlimited access to the other professionals in our organization. We also conduct and sponsor several seminars throughout the year in order for you to maintain continued education in the latest investigative techniques and available information.

We also post a quarterly newsletter, “The Area of Origin” on the website that is available to each member. The magazine contains articles regarding our profession and current information on the issues that pertain to fire investigation.

As a member, in addition to your modest dues, we will ask you to contribute to the continued success of our Chapter by becoming actively involved in the Chapter’s activities. Your time and the sharing of your ideas are a valuable resource to our membership and our mission.
